Scribbles

A pearlescent breed of soothing daydream pools in my sight, then spills and trickles upward over my forehead and scalp, seeping into the nerves of the brain like cool water, nurturing and calming the electric thunderstorm of neurons shouting messages of discord and turmoil and anxiety. Droplets run down my spine, releasing the knots and cramps along my shoulders with the ease of a distractingly delusional balm. Tension loosens its grip on the dorsi, obliques, and gluts, then drown and chokes as the dream swamps torso and limbs. Body slumped and heavy with musings, eyes blinded by pouring streams of  fantasy, my mind swims swiftly through worlds of inactuality.
